Objective: Enable new usages in education and visualization through the construction of a persistent 3D space built and deployed by a federation of organizations and users.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain a stable OpenSim distribution that targets visualization and education usages.
Deploy and maintain shared infrastructure services (OpenSim grid, user, inventory, asset and messaging).
Document best known methods and develop supporting content for visualization and education usages.
Maintain a prioritized list of “requirements/requests” for OpenSim that reflects the needs of visualization and education usages.
Develop a community that can provide basic support for ScienceSim users through community meetings, documentation, and content creation.
Support participating organizations application for external funding for building out infrastructure and new usages

I would respectfully request a name change to something else, because ScienceSim is already seen as a brand space 'owned' by Intel. Changing the name would enable a wider response from other multinationals in supporting such a Foundation.
How many other orgs need to put int, and at what funding level, to kick it off?
