Metaverse U

• We are on for 20 min session about ScienceSim
• Charlie and I will be live and Mic will be avatarly present
• We three have a call later today to hammer out details
• Working goal is to docent-lecture, all content of lecture delivered while doing a demo
  • goals of ScienceSim and need for performance
  • universe simulation, if ready
  • 100 avatars, and 10000 maniacs, if ready

Avatar appearance

• Intermittant problem that is latency related. Further you are from the server, more likely there is a problem. Timing Problem
• Seen on OpenSim, seems mono related, happens both in grid/stadalone, more often on linux

Voice

• We spent a few minutes trying to unsuccessfully use it and we went back to phone bridge
• Mic and Joel are going to check into tuning it

New Avatar experience

• Mic have been looking at mechanism of first contact: notecard or folder
• This effort certainly resonates with Shenlei's efforts

Covering your Assets

• Shenlei working with group of pro-bono lawyers to develop certificates of authenticity and other mechanisms so intellectual property can safely be moved between metaverses.
