Stable Releases


ScienceSim attempts to provide a relatively stable release. TBD: What is Stable? The goal of 'stable' is to promote the development of applications on top of a release by holding feature and API changes to a minimum. A 'stable' release will have a known API and be straight forward to build, install, configure and run.</description>

One of the foundation objectives is to create a “stable” OpenSim distribution. To understand the objective, we must define “stable”. At a high level, a stable OpenSim distribution is one that meets a set of functionality, performance and robustness requirements. That is, the focus on a stable distribution is a focus on building useful applications on top of the distribution.</description>
